Each hamlet has a unique history and contributes to the unique essence of the town. Driving through the Town of Rochester on the Route 209 corridor displays the meeting of the past with the present. There are many family owned farms known for local fruit/vegetables stands as well as pick your own sections. There are local Christmas tree farms and corn mazes each autumn. In addition, Rochester has many one of a kind attactions--Accord Speedway and Skatetime209, small owned business and local artists promote tourism within the town.
Most of all, Rochester nestled between two mountains and within the Rondout Valley is a most wonderful place to call home. Rich in heritage, proud of "home grown" Rochester offers something for everyone.
